LUNA2 Power Supply for HiPath 3800 & OpenScape Business X8
Used as the central power supply in HiPath 3800 & OpenScape X8.
LUNA2 is the central power supply for the OpenScape Business X8 communication system.
Depending on the configuration, LUNA2 can be used up to three times in the base box and up to four times in the expansion box. The number of LUNA2 modules required depends on the quantity and type of modules used.
When expanding the OpenScape Business X8 communication system as a two-box system, two LUNA2 modules in the base box and three LUNA2 modules in the expansion box are sufficient to ensure maximum expansion limits.
A third LUNA2 in the base box and a fourth LUNA2 in the expansion box can be used to either ensure trouble-free operation in the event of a LUNA2 failure (redundancy LUNA2) or to charge the batteries of a connected 48V/38Ah battery box or OpenScape Business Powerbox.
LUNA2 integrates the functions of a power supply and a battery manager. No additional components are required for mains operation. For emergency battery operation in the event of a power failure, i.e., for uninterruptible power supply, an additional 48V/38Ah battery box or OpenScape Business Powerbox must be used per system box.
The following options are available for battery manager:
- Use of the 48V/38Ah battery box with four 12V/38Ah batteries The batteries are charged by the redundancy LUNA2 in the respective system box.
Use of the OpenScape Business Powerbox with four 12V/7Ah batteries (48V/7Ah battery pack)
- The batteries are charged by the redundancy LUNA2 in the respective system box.
Only the 48V/7Ah battery pack consisting of four 12V/7Ah batteries (4 x V39113-W5123-E891) is approved for use in the OpenScape Business Powerbox.
- Use of the OpenScape Business Powerbox with four 12V/7Ah batteries (48V/7Ah battery pack) and one LUNA2.
The batteries are charged by the LUNA2 in the OpenScape Business Powerbox.
Only the 48V/7Ah battery pack consisting of four 12V/7Ah batteries (4 x V39113-W5123-E891) is approved for use in the OpenScape Business Powerbox.
