This QD cable with Push to talk PTT button and lock switch for corded IPN X1 & X2 headsets enables particularly secure and confidential communication. The microphone is only activated when the Push to talk PTT button is pressed. This prevents the person on the other end from unintentionally hearing confidential background information. At the same time, the user can consult with colleagues without having to use the mute function repeatedly. This provides the highest level of security currently available for private and trusted phone conversations.
For conversations that are not security-critical, such as internal meetings or conference calls, the lock function can be activated. This allows for convenient, bidirectional communication without needing to continuously press the Push to talk PTT button.
