Designed for cubicle workers, sales staff, and other users with relatively simple telephone needs, the 1408 office phone system delivers a straightforward, productivity enhancing interface.
This phone has eight programmable keys.
By default, the first three keys are used as call presentation keys for calls you make and receive. Your system administrator can configure additional presentation keys.
All keys that are not configured as presentation keys can be programmed with a range of functions. They are then referred to as function keys. Programming is usually done by your system administrator. However, you can do this yourself for a limited number of functions using the self-administration menu on the phone.
The phone has a headset jack for connecting a headset.
The phone has a built-in speaker and microphone that enable hands-free operation. The speaker is located under the handset. The microphone is located at the bottom right of the keypad.
The phone is equipped with an integrated stand that can be locked in two positions without tools. There is a plastic holder in the handset rest area that can be turned over. This allows the handset to sit more securely in the cradle when not in use.
