The front panel of the board contains one LED and two measuring access jacks.
The LED operation indicator extinguishes when the voltage drops below 30 V. The voltage can be measured via the measuring jacks in the front panel. The ring generator alternatively generates alternating voltage of 65 V or 85 V with the frequencies 25 Hz or 50 Hz for ringing the analog stations or for AC signaling in tie traffic. When used as ring current generator RG the ring AC is lead to pinout 1 with ground. When used as AC current generator WG the alternating current is symmetrically lead to pinout 2 for signaling. The AC cables within the cabinets are connected to three LTUS for Hicom 340.1/ 340.2/370.1 and via two LTUS for Hicom 390.1. The maximum output current for each generator is 10 VA.
If more power or safety backup is desired, one generator may be configured per shelf and operating mode. In this case, the respective Faston plug must be removed (see figure: Assignment of AC current cables). If the board is configured as an AC current generator (ACGEN), the dependability system blocks all TMBCT boards when the board is unplugged.
The operating mode and the desired voltage (65 V or 85 V) are set via AMO BCSU.
