The STMD2 (Station/Trunk Module Digital S0+SLMS2 Station Line Module Digital S0) board comprises the STMD and SLMS function on one single board. The STMD2 covers all features which are provided by the replaced modules. It contains eight trunks with S0 interfaces. Each S0 connection (4-wire-system) constitutes a basic access with two B-channels (64 kbits/s each) for speech/data and a D-channel (16 kbits/s).

Description of STMD/SLMS modul:

Moreover the new boards use SIPAC connector to the backplane.
The front panel of the board contains 2 LEDs.
Flashprotection is on board.
The cabling to the MDF differs to the SLMS and STMD solution. STMD2 use a 24-twisted-wire cable with no protection.
