An Affordable Message Management and Failover Solution for PBX and iPBX Systems
The Interalia XMU+ is a multi-application platform that helps Telecom and Network Communications Managers enhance their legacy PBX installations and at the same time provide robust backup solutions for their iPBX installations.
Enhance Legacy Voice Systems
The XMU+ can enhance your legacy voice systems by providing announcements, call processing, music and message-on-hold applications, interactive audiotext, basic IVR functionality and static information lines.
Ensure Callers Hear Up-to-date Information
With the XMU+, Managers can easily update messages without the intervention of technical staff. This means messages and information lines can be updated as frequently as circumstances change to ensure your callers hear the most up-to-date information possible especially in the event of a service disruption or an emergency.
Provide Failover/Backup for Other Systems
The XMU+ is an affordable alternative to expensive backup systems and redundant hardware. In the event of a primary system failure, the XMU+ can immediately take over to ensure callers still receive basic call processing and service disruption messages until such time as full service is restored.
The XMU+ is Unlike Other Systems
- Unlike expensive failover solutions or redundant hardware, the XMU+ provides basic call treatment at a fraction of the cost.
- Unlike complex PBX/iPBX call treatment solutions, the XMU+ is simple to install and makes it easy and affordable to update messages without technical intervening staff.
The Value of the XMU+
- Economical to Purchase and Maintain. Relative to other solutions, the XMU+ has a low acquisition price and is inexpensive to maintain in the long term.
- Quick Message Updating. Messages can quickly and easily be changed to always provide callers with the most up-to-date information. A one minute message usually loads in under 10 seconds.
- Easy to Deploy and Operate. An XMU+ system can usually be installed within one hour, and often without technical support. Managers love the XMU+ because it is very easy to remotely update over the internet and it is so reliable it rarely fails.
- Integrates with Legacy or SIP PBX/iPBX. The XMU+ seamlessly integrates with all PBX Legacy systems and iPBX SIP solutions. It works with all major telephone systems from: Siemens, NORTEL, NEC, Avaya, Cisco, Mitel and more.
- Delivers a Consistent Quality of Service. Thousands of companies use the XMU+ to ensure their callers have a high level of service even when their primary call treatment solution fails or an emergency occurs.
Standard Items: XMUCOM+ Administration Software
Included with every XMU+ at no additional charge is the XMUCOM+ administration software, a windows-based configuration and communication software that helps administrators directly manage their XMU+ systems onsite via an RS-232 connection, or remotely via a modem or network connection. The software has an easy to use GUI interface, editor browser and pull-down menus loaded with all the tools administrators need to schedule messages, simultaneously download configuration files/messages to multiple XMU+ systems, review statistics and remotely troubleshoot their XMU+.
Remote Telephone Access
Remote telephone access is a standard feature of every XMU+ which allows an administrator at a different location than the XMU+ to access the unit by telephone. This provides an alternative way to access the XMU+ and it is especially useful if the network is unavailable.
Optional Items: Message Manager Software
The Message Manager software enables Managers to easily administer messages on remote XMU+ systems without a dedicated telephone line. It is so easy to use, even non-technical staff can record, delete or play messages on the XMU+ remotely from their desktop. The Message Manager has a simple GUI interface and sound editing software that allows Managers to remotely cut, copy, paste or edit audio files, change message audio volumes, label messages for identification, and turn messages on/off from any remote desktop.
Redundant Power Supply
The XMU+ large chassis can be equipped with an optional hot swappable redundant power supply (not available on the XMU+ small chassis). In the event a primary power supply fails, the XMU+ large chassis will automatically switch over to the backup supply without the unit having to be powered down.
Enhanced Hybrid Analog Line Card
The enhanced hybrid line card is an excellent solution for delivering: ACD/UCD announcements, automated attendant, audiotex and automated information services, in the same XMU+, at the same time. Each line can be configured as a Passive ACD announcement line, or an Interactive line with menu structure.
T1 Digital Line Card
The T1 Digital Line Card provides XMU+ users with a reliable and modular source of high quality Call Processing, Auto Attendant, Audiotex and 1-800 Call Routing. The T1 is a great alternative to analog station ports for interactive menu applications because it requires less space in the PBX and decreases call transfer time. The T1 card can also support line side T1 feature sets if they are supported by the PBX.
Music-On-Hold (MOH) Analog Line Card
The Music-On-Hold (MOH) Analog Line Card is an integrated analog solution that entertains and informs on-hold callers by playing music, promotional messages with recorded music, or input from an existing music source thereby customizing music and messages to the audience. The MOH card allows managers to backup messages or download new files directly into the XMU+ via a modem or an Ethernet connection.
Public Address Line Card (PAAS)
The Public Address Line Card (PAAS) allows the XMU+ to play pre-recorded announcements via a public address system or through speakers. Messages can be scheduled in advance or activated by a push button.
