The SLMA board (Station Line Module Analog) is the interface between the analog stations and the Hicom system.
One board contains the trunk for 16 station lines. Each of these trunks contains the required feed, ringing and indication circuitry.
The front panel of the board contains an LED, which lights whenever a circuit is busy.
The SLMA requires an external ring generator which provides the necessary ring voltage and power. Each group of three LTUs has its own ring generator. A ring is applied on the SLMA using a relay on the b-wire. The ring cadence is controlled by the SLMA loading procedure.
Ringing voltage: nominal voltage 65 V or 85 V (against ground) Frequency: 25 Hz or 50 Hz
The operating range is 2 x 750. This range may be reduced by using pushbutton telephones.
An NLT amplifier and an additional feeding device may be connected to increase the range. The additional feeding device must provide a current limiter of approximately 40 mA and must be looped into the a-wire. Installation should be performed at the terminal.
In the case of faults on the station line, feeding is deactivated via a command to avoid excessive power consumption (I max = 2 mA).
For the SLMA with SICOFI, the country-specific settings must be performed with the SCSU AMO, parameter COFIDX.
