The ADP uses free I/O addresses to access the HUBC board through the multibus 1 interface. The ADP reads the HUBC board port status information and disables ports if necessary. The ADP writes the link status for the eight twisted pair ports to the HUBC board LED register, providing the port status LED indications. The HUBC board is installed in slot 25 and controlled by the ADP (DPC5 in slot 31).

The LBU (Line Control / Line Bus Control) board for Hicom 300E offers two V.24 interfaces on the front panel for connecting terminals and/or data processing systems. In addition, the board links active peripheral boards with the DP multibus for configuring the service modules.
The two functional units are entirely separate, so that the line control and line bus control can be operated separately or together, at the appropriate slots. The operating mode decoder of the LBU determines the operating mode according to the occupied slot. The front panel of the board contains 3 LEDs (RUN, H2, H3), 1 INT-key and 2 V.24 interfaces.

The LTUC-module board S30810-Q2128-X (Line Trunk Unit Control) for the Hicom 300 & Hicom 300E which constitutes the interface between the transducer for the signaling-channel DCL, the crossbar switch CN and the peripheral BG of the LTU-frame.
This board implements the switchover from redundant central sytem units to the non-redundant periphery and the electrical conversion and decoupling. In the LTUC, the lines for the speech channels, signaling channels, clock lines and reset signals are converted from balanced to imbalanced signals and transferred from the currently active control to the peripheral board with the shelf, and vice versa.

The transmission mode to and from the common control is balanced. On the peripheral part the LTUCE has an interface to all boards in the shelf with an unbalanced transmission mode. The LTUCE selects the signals from the active common control and distributes them in the LTU-Shelf (LTU-Shelf is a general expression for the peripheral-shelf. It can be one of the compact- or extended compact-shelf). The LTUCE also receives signals from the peripheral boards and transmits them to the common control.
The front panel of the module contains one red and one green LED.

The line trunk unit control extended (LTUCX) board has twice the number of speech highways as in the former LTUCE board. It is supported for a standard LTU shelf by adding new 2x4x2 MB highways to the already existing 2x4x2 megabit highways. As an LTU shelf is devided into two shelf halfs, each shelf half supports 128TSL of bundle A and 128TSL of bundle F.
The additional speech highways can only be used by boards which support this feature (for example the DIU-N2 and DIU-N4 boards). Within the board configuration it is determined if the board uses the standard speech highways or the additional ones. Simultaneous use of all highways is not supported with this feature.
You can now use a few new boards (to access additional highways; reservation of many TSLs for every board; for example, DIU-N4 = 128 TSL) with a greater number of old boards (only access to the standard highways; reservation of few TSLs per board) together in the same shelf in a non blocking configuration.

The MTSCG (Memory Time Switch and Clock Generator) board is a central board. It integrates the functionality of an MTS64 or MTS128 (Memory Time Switch) and an NCG (Network Clock Generator). So it contains both functions, the function of Highways switching aswell as the clock functions for the system (supply and synchronization to an external or internal reference clock). Regarding clocks and highways the MTSCG fullfils the same timing conditions.

Refurbished S30810-Q2139-X-05 The function of the PSIO is to provide a total of six V.24 interfaces having enhanced functionality and higher data rates.
A Hicom 3X3 can accomodate a maximum of 2 PSIO boards (12 V.24 interfaces). Max 2 PSIO can be installed in the CC80 or CC80W shelf, in slots 61 and 73 (special slots). The PSIO board is connected to the SCC module via an HDLC channel. The board is connected via a so-called "Hydra" cable (cable plug in the panel of the Hicom 3X3 has 4 cable outlets and V.24 interfaces). For CC80 shelves, the PSIO board may only be plugged into slot 60). In all other cases, it can be plugged into any peripheral slot available. The module must be configured by means of AMOs BCSU and BCSM. Different operating modes are possible for the PSIO, since the loadware for asynchronous terminal tranmission and synchronous terminal transmission have been combined. The front panel of the board contains a 7-segment display, one LED and two V.24 interfaces.
